胡蜂俗称马蜂，在民间也被称为“杀人蜂”，因为身带毒针，如果被它们蛰到，甚至危及生命。不过，在云南省的保山地区，有人却可以将这些“杀人蜂”驯化，玩弄于股掌间，让“杀人蜂”不但给人类提供高蛋白的美味，而且还可利用它们嗜肉的本领，为农作物消灭虫害，保持自然界的生态平衡。

Wasps, commonly known as wasps, are also known as "killer bees"in the folk because they carry poisonous needles, and if stung by them, they may even endanger their lives. However, in Baoshan area of Yunnan Province, some people can domesticate these"killer bees"and play with them in their hands, so that "killer bees"can not only provide human with high protein delicious food, but also can use their meat loving ability to eliminate pests for crops and maintain ecological balance in nature.
